How we help children

Our paediatric dietitians are highly skilled and all have received training from some of the largest paediatric centres in Australia including the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. They love working with both children and their families to build positive and joyful relationships with mealtimes and eating, whether your child eats by mouth or through a feeding tube.

We take a very careful and considered, trauma-informed approach to exploring childhood nutrition, to make sure that children feel safe and supported at all times. Sometimes this means working with parents alone, particularly when there is a weight concern or high stress meal times.

We can help you with:

  • Autism & eating difficulties

  • ADHD & nutrition

  • Meeting your child’s nutritional needs

  • Complex feeding difficulties including ARFID

  • Complex health conditions affecting nutrition and growth

  • Constipation

  • Diagnosed food allergies

  • Fussy eating

  • Gastrointestinal conditions (eg Coeliac Disease; IBS; IBD)

  • Growth acceleration / weight concern

  • Growth faltering and malnutrition

  • Insulin resistance

  • Nutritional deficiency/ies

  • Texture modified diets

  • Tube feeding including blenderised tube feeding
